Mavis Naeem a minor child had a fall from rooftop at his house and was rushed to Sub District Hospital, Bhaderwah , from where he was referred Narayan Hospital Katra .Father and mother of the minor child namely Naeem Latief and Shazia Kouser who are in shock alleged that on the way to Katra when they reached near Kulsari only 3 KM away from main Bhaderwah town it was discovered that the oxygen in the cylinder was finished .“When we felt the need for oxygen, we asked the staff to provide him with it. But there was no oxygen in the ambulance cylinder. My son died due to lack of oxygen on the way to the Katra hospital at Bhagar on Doda Batote road .She said that he could have been saved if there was oxygen in the cylinder of the ambulance.Family members and relatives of the minor child demanded investigation in the matter.

Strict action will be taken against administration of the Bhaderwah hospital who found to be careless or negligent. A relative of minor child namely Ishtiaq Butt alleged that child died only due to wastage of time as firstly oxygen cylinder finished only outskirts of Bhaderwah town , after that near Bhalla area and then they visited Doda hospital for the same cylinder . He said if oxygen was available in the ambulance the life of the child can be saved .Family and Relatives of the minor child demanded intervention of Governor Jammu and Kashmir ,Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti , Minister for Health and Medical Education for justice and demanded strict action .

When contacted Block Medical Officer Bhaderwah denied all allegations of the victim family and said there is no negligence and also alleged that some people are threatening him and he had lodge a written complaint at Police Station Bhaderwah . It is notable to mention here that the Sub District Hospital at Bhaderwah was set up to provide quality medicare to people of the area. But it is quite dismaying to note that this state-of-the-art hospital has failed to live to the expectations of people. This is due to a number of reasons which include shortage of doctors and para medical staff. Besides, the patients who can be treated at this hospital are reffered to either District Hospital Doda, Katra or to GMC Jammu.
